BERNAS Program - PLN UIW NTT

Information about BERNAS Program in collaboration with PLN UIW NTT

The Community Care Network (CCN) Foundation is a non-governmental organization that has been working in Indonesia since 2019. The Foundation aims to improve community welfare and resilience, particularly in the areas of health, education, and food security. To achieve these goals, JPM Foundation consistently builds partnerships with various stakeholders who share the same vision and commitment to improving community well-being.

From June 2023 to May 2025, the Care Community Network Foundation implemented the Bersama Sehatkan Anak Semau (BERNAS) Program in Huilelot Village, Semau Sub-district, Kupang Regency. The BERNAS Program is a collaboration between PLN Peduli and the JPM Foundation, aiming to reduce the prevalence of stunting by strengthening family resilience. This is achieved through improving knowledge on childcare and parenting practices, health and sanitation, increasing access to nutritious food, enhancing the nutritional status of children under five, and supporting local economic empowerment.

The success of this program requires collaboration and active participation from multiple stakeholders, starting within families—particularly parents of infants and young children—as well as village government authorities, posyandu (community health post) cadres, community leaders, religious leaders, education stakeholders, sub-district authorities, health centers (puskesmas), and other relevant partners. This collective approach is intended to align actions and ensure shared responsibility based on each stakeholder’s role and capacity.

Based on these considerations, PLN Peduli and the Community Care Network (JPM) Foundation consider it essential to conduct program socialization at the village level by engaging all relevant stakeholders. This initial step is crucial to unify actions and ensure the effective implementation of the BERNAS Program in Huilelot Village.
